Sinan received his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture program at Karadeniz Technical University in Turkey. After his graduation, he worked for a landscape design office in Istanbul for several months. His interest in sustainable and ecological urban design motivated him to pursue graduate school, and he finished his masters in landscape architecture program at Mississippi State University with a focus of green roof technology and its implementation techniques. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in landscape architecture program at Virginia Tech and investigating people’s perception and landscape preferences in different community garden settings in cities.
