WAAC Expands Library with Marco Frascari Collection

The Washington-Alexandra Architecture Center has expanded its library with approx. 4000 volumes from the collection of Dr. Marco Frascari, which will rejoin the books Frascari donated to the Center’s Library when he served as Virginia Tech’s G.T. Ward Professor of Architecture from 1997 to 2005.

The collection will be housed in an expanded section of the Center’s existing library to be named the Marco and Paola Frascari Room and will be available for use by students, faculty, and visiting scholars, particularly to support research on Architectural Representation by students in the Ph.D. Program in Architecture and Design Research.

The inauguration of the Frascari collection will coincide with the Frascari Symposium II: “Confabulations: Storytelling in Architecture,” March 28-29, at the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center at 1001 Prince Street in Old Town Alexandria, Va.
