Prof. Susan Piedmont-Palladino has been honored with the 2014 Wieb Award for Architecture in the Public Interest, presented by the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA|DC).
Each year, the AIA|DC and the Washington Architectural Foundation recognize individuals who have performed exemplary work on behalf of the community and the architectural profession. The John ‘Wieb’ Wiebenson Award for Architecture was established to recognize an architect who, throughout his or her career, has made a difference in the Washington community through work in the public interest.
Piedmont-Palladino is a professor of architecture and director of the new Urban Design concentration in the MS.Arch. program at the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center. She also serves as a consulting curator to the National Building Museum.
