Students Design and Make Installation at Blacksburg Farmers’ Market

A team of A+D students led by Prof. Aki Ishida designed and made an interactive installation at the Blacksburg Farmers Market in collaboration with the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology at Virginia Tech. The installation, Luminous Kite Lanterns, was commissioned by the American Institute of Architects Blue Ridge chapter for its biannual award exhibit and reception on Sept. 14, 2012. Funding was provided by the Japan Foundation’s Center for Global Partnership.
