Seniors take Top Honors in Competitions

Three interior design seniors in Lisa Tucker’s studio have taken first place in three different nationally recognized design competitions.

Jamie Ivey won first place in the 2011 NEWH Sustainable Hospitality Projects for her Mélange Resort, which was influenced by the blend of Asian, Indian, African, French Creole, and European cultures on the island of Mauritius.

Katie Herber took home first place in the 2011 Starnet Flooring Competition for her design of an Alzheimer’s Care Facility in the Appalachian Region, with the concept that “not all who wander are lost.”

Molly Berman won the 2011 Earth Minded Award for her design of Son Paysage, a resort that’s name means “sound landscape” and is influenced by the relationship between music and architecture.

Congratulations, ladies!
