PhD Students Win CIbM Innovation Competition
Architecture and Design Research PhD students Negar Kalantar and Alireza Borhani were selected as winners of the 2013 Innovation Competition sponsored by the Center for Innovation-based Manufacturing (CIbM) for the magnetic educational toy they designed, named “L8.” They received a $5,000 prize, prototyping and manufacturing support from the CIbM, and business start-up support from VT KnowledgWorks.
