Jingyi “Jessy” Qiu Recognized for Best Completed Senior Project in Landscape Architecture

Jingyi “Jessy” Qiu, 5th year Landscape Architecture student, won the Stanley Abbott Award on Friday for the best completed senior project! The award is given out based upon scope of project, intellectual understanding of the project, articulation and appropriateness of intention, and degree of formal and technical resolution. Winners are chosen by the Stanley Abbott Society (composed of former winners) in collaboration with program faculty. Stanley Abbott was the lead designer of the Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the most significant examples of landscape architecture in the country.
