Interior Design Students Win Competitions

Interior Design student Rachel Brennan has won the 2013 Sustainable Hospitality Design Competition sponsored by the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH) for her design of a sustainable restaurant/nightclub (shown above), with a focus on the guest experience. Xie Xin, of Shanghai, China, a graduate student in interior design, has been selected as the winner of the 2013 interior design competition sponsored by the Bernice Bienenstock Furniture Library. She will receive $10,000 to continue her studies in interior design and a one-year student membership in the American Society of Interior Designers. Charli Zirk, an undergraduate interior design student, received an honorable mention in the competition. The Bienenstock Furniture and Interior Design Competition is open to any junior, senior, or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college design program.
