Interior Design senior Amy Groome has received the top prize in Steelcase’s annual NEXT Student Design Competition. Her work was selected from more than 800 student entries from 65 interior design programs across the nation.
In this year’s competition, students were challenged to create the next generation design studio situated in Los Angeles’ entertainment district. Five finalists presented their work in front of a panel of top industry leaders at the Steelcase University Learning Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As the winner of the top prize in the competition, Amy will receive $2,500 from Steelcase, along with a custom-ordered Think chair and a Campfire personal table; the interior design program also will receive a $2,500 contribution.
