Industrial Design Students Compete in Hong Kong
Students in the senior Industrial Design studio, Feild Craddock, Kathryn Suttle, Joe Vidmar, and Daniel Colby, traveled to Hong Kong in June to pitch their business plan for EON, a line of dental care products aimed at the elderly and individuals with limited physical dexterity, at the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Global Student Challenge, sponsored by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Thirty shortlisted teams from a wide range of disciplines from around the world competed on a global stage. The Virginia Tech team was named as one of six finalists in the competition. The students’ faculty advisor is Brook Kennedy.
