Industrial Design Student Named College’s Outstanding Senior
Morgan Matt, a student in the Industrial Design program, has been named the 2017 Outstanding Senior for the College of Architecture & Urban Studies. During her time as a student at Virginia Tech, Morgan has launched a start-up company, funded successful products on Kickstarter, and redesigned everyday items to be more humane and sustainable. She completed her degree summa cum laude in the fall and is already at work in her new job at Insight Product Development in Chicago, where she helps design medical and noninvasive surgical equipment for an award-winning health care design consultancy.
