In Memoriam: Robert Turner, 1947-2014
It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of Robert Turner. Robert was an outstanding and engaged 1972 alumnus of the College of Architecture and Urban Studies and in particular of the School of Architecture + Design. He was a valuable colleague and more importantly, a treasured friend.
Robert was a retired Principal formerly with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, LLP, practicing architecture all over the world. He was the recipient of the University Distinguished Achievement Award in May of 2014. Virginia Tech, the College and the School were in his heart and soul, and he is sorely missed.
