In Memoriam: Elias “Eli” Lehman
Elias Paul “Eli” Lehman, of Dayton, VA, a 4th year honors student majoring in Industrial Design, died on November 22, 2010, from injuries sustained in an accident while taking photographs at Crabtree Falls, VA.
Eli was a model student. He was talented, smart, energetic, dedicated to his studies, and had a great, dry sense of humor. He was admired and loved by his fellow students and was a leader by example.
He loved sports and being outdoors. He was dedicated to improving the world both through his daily existence and his industrial design skills. In furtherance of both he spent the summer of 2010 at the Ray of Hope Orphanage in Kenya.
Eli was born in Woodstock, VA on July 18, 1989, and was a beloved son of Gerald Ray “Gerry” and Pamela Jean (Lamson) Lehman of Dayton.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Seth Jason Lehman of Midlothian, Va.; maternal grandparents, Paul and Shirley Lamson of Gibbstown, N.J., and paternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Lehman of Harrisonburg.
Eli will be deeply missed by his fellow students and our entire faculty.
