Center for Design Research Exhibits Work at International Contemporary Furnitire Fair

The Center for Design Research has been selected to showcase experimental student work developed with emerging digital technology as part of the 27th annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, May 16-19. This is the School’s fifth invitation to exhibit at this prestigious event.

The current exhibition, “Technological Material Transformations,” explores the potential for digital fabrication to enable new modes of architecture, design, and education.

An ABB IRB 6640 3.2-meter robot at the College’s Design Robotics Studio at the Research + Demonstration Facility fabricates components for the exhibition.
