ARCH 3016 Tour of VT/Carilion Building
Roanoke, VA
February 2020
Asst. Professor Edward Becker’s ARCH 3016’s lab, sponsored by AECOM, was given a building tour of the under-construction VT/Carilion Medical building in Roanoke. This very lucky opportunity, to visit such an active & busy site, included AECOM giving a “behind the scenes” look at how their BIM model is translated into shop drawings and then to real construction, you can see the group in Skanska’s trailer. These special and rare learning opportunities are so important to have for our architecture students. We really appreciate the support of AECOM and Skanska!
