Joon Ma is an architectural designer based in Boston, MA. He is a founding member of ONE-AFTR, a creative architectural design agency based in Boston and Seoul. Prior to forming ONE-AFTR, he worked at OMA/AMO in Rotterdam. His written work has been published in Paprika and Rumor. Joon is currently curating an exhibition, Talking Trees, as part of the Korean Pavillion at the Venice Architecture Biennale. He recently placed 2nd in the Europan 15 Vienna competition and was shortlisted for the design of the Dubai World Expo Korean Pavilion.

Joon received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Davidson College and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University, where he was awarded the Suzanne Kolarik Underwood Prize for his thesis.
