Industrial Design Lecture Series

Nanci Hardwick is CEO of Aeroprobe Corporation and primarily responsible for developing the Additive Friction Stir (AFS) technology, a proprietary solid-state metal deposition process. Nanci has led numerous projects exploring material, mechanical property, and geometry capabilities of AFS, demonstrating the ability to produce various near-net shape deposits in aluminum, magnesium, copper, steel, Inconel, titanium, and assorted metal matrix composites. Aeroprobe holds several issued U.S. patents related to various methods of solid-state additive manufacturing using AFS. Nanci has presented the AFS technology at conferences around the world and is a paper and patent author.
