Brian Phillips, ISA

This week Brian Phillips from Interface Studio Architects is coming from Philadelphia, PA to speak with us.

ISA thinks of design as radically pragmatic problem solving, where asking the right questions is as important as finding answers.Design problems are multifaceted–and ISA’s architects and designers think that’s a good thing. They see the many constraintson design imposed by a project’s surroundings andstakeholders as productive drivers of innovation.

Big ideas and real-world constraints live side-by-side in their building and research projects. ISA is interested in working within the spaces and architectural programsof daily life, carefully examining projects large and small tofindvalue in unexpected places.
