Brooks + Scarpa has been repeatedly recognized for their fine designs. While each project is uniquely developed, the firm maintains an enduring inquiry in and through the process of making. Their unending focus on the craft of practicing architecture has resulted in material poetics, timeless placemaking, and innovative sustainability.
In 2014, Brooks + Scarpa was recognized by the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum for leadership in sustainable and socially progressive design. In addition, Scarpa co-founded the Affordable Housing Design Leadership Institute to help develop sustainable and livable communities.
