LAR Lecture Series: Landscape as laboratory – Shaun Rosier

Landscape Architecture Lecture Series

Join the LAR program for a lecture from Dr. Shaun Rosier, Assistant Professor in Landscape Architecture here at the School of Design. The talk will take place at 1:30 pm on Friday, October 21st, in Cowgill 300.

Landscape architectural design for the past three decades has been characterised by the dominance of rationality, technoscience and a deferral away from the (im)material of landscape itself. Through his employment of an aesthetics of affect and an apprenticeship to the works of Deleuze and Guattari, Rosier will give an account of his design, research and teaching practices that seeks to affirm the singularities of landscape and landscape architectural design practices.
