Jack Travis Architect: Career + Role
The Interior Design Program is excited to welcome Jack Travis this Tuesday, February 16th, 7 – 8 PM (ET). He will discuss his own work, as well as that of his students’ and the legacy of the Black architects.
Mr. Travis is both a registered architect licensed Interior Designer. In over 30 years of practice since establishing his namesake firm in 1985, he has worked in the fields of architecture, interiors, cultural design consultation, and academic theory. He has explored principles and concepts for evolving a definitive Black aesthetic within the environmental design disciplines. He has taught at the Parsons School of Design and is currently an Adjunct Professor of Interior Design at both the Pratt Institute and the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.
