Cities for Life: Planning Inclusive Urban Spaces

LAR Friday Lecture Series

As planners and designers, we are asked to design or redesign urban spaces for the benefit of all. For most of our careers, designing per ADA was the target. But focusing on ADA, we miss entire populations or entire generations of users for our projects. As planners, we need to step to the side of ADA (which is still important and required) and take a broader look at inclusive planning and universal design in public spaces.
