Anna Neimark, FIRST OFFICE – Lecture

Anna Neimark is Faculty at SCI-Arc and Principal of First Office, a design practice founded with Andrew Atwood in 2011. Her texts, both independent and in collaboration with Atwood, have been published widely, in Log, Future Anterior, Perspecta, Praxis, Project, and Think Space and have been compiled in a Graham Foundation Treatise book, Nine Essays. First Office has exhibited work at the Chicago Architecture Biennial, the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, and the Oslo Architecture Triennale among others. Her research on megalithic monuments, a collaboration with the Museum of Toulouse, titled Rude forms among us, was exhibited at the SCI-Arc Gallery in 2020. First Office received numerous honors in competitions, including the Architectural League Prize, the Architect’s Newspaper Best of Young Architects, and the nomination as a Finalist in the MoMA PS1 Young Architects Program. Neimark received a BA in Architecture from Princeton and an M.Arch from Harvard GSD.
