In-person information sessions will continue for Architecture beginning July 9th. Further information about Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design, and Interior Design tours will be made available soon. Please note: Following CDC and university guidelines, all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear masks in indoor public settings.

The School of Architecture + Design encourages prospective Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture students to visit us to discover our approach to design education, to find out about the curricula of our academic programs, to meet faculty and students, and to tour the School’s facilities.

prospective undergraduate students

The School of Architecture + Design holds information sessions to give prospective undergraduate students and parents a brief overview of what we have to offer. The information session is approximately one hour. The sessions are led by either a chair of one of our programs or a faculty member for each major. The session includes a description of the program, its curriculum and pedagogy, and a tour of the school’s facilities. Information sessions are not offered during the first or last weeks of classes or between semesters.

Prospective undergraduate student information sessions for Architecture will be held on Fridays and Mondays at 12 noon. Information sessions are not offered between summer sessions. 

Prospective undergraduate student information sessions for Industrial Design will be held on Mondays at 10:30 am. Information sessions are not offered during summer sessions.

Prospective Graduate Students

Prospective graduate students should contact their program office to schedule an appointment to meet with the program chair and/or a faculty member and to tour the School’s facilities. In addition, the Virginia Tech Graduate School offers campus tours for prospective graduate students (please see http://graduateschool.vt.edu/admissions/visit-us.html).

Prospective Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center Students

Prospective students wishing to visit the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center in the National Capital Region (NCR) should contact the Center to schedule an appointment.
