architecture rankings

In the most recent (2017-18) professional design education rankings by DesignIntelligence, which publishes the only national college rankings focused exclusively on architecture and design, Virginia Tech’s undergraduate Architecture program is currently ranked 4th among NAAB-accredited B.Arch. programs in the U.S., ranking in the top five for eleven of the last twelve years. Virginia Tech’s Architecture Program was recognized by DesignIntelligence in 2009 as one of America’s World-Class Schools of Architecture with highest distinction, tied with Harvard, Yale, and Columbia Universities. This multidimensional ranking was based on five criteria: current rankings by professional practices; historical 10-year rankings by professional practices; rankings by academic department deans and chairs; overall campus environment and student evaluations; and program accreditation.
